July 4th Postcard 2018

Join Lake City for its biggest and most exciting day of the year!  This long-standing tradition of family entertainment includes a parade, races in Town Park for all ages, delicious food and drinks in the park, a book sale at the library, live music and street dance and an incredible fireworks show put on by our Volunteer Fire Department.

8:00 AM

Book Sale begins at John Wagner Public Library (206 Silver St)

All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast at Lake City Communtiyt School (614 Silver St)

Lake City School Garage Sale in the School Yard until 2pm (614 Silver St)

10:00 AM

Parade begins

Airforce Flyover

Following the Parade

Reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Hinsdale County Musuem by Henry Rothschild (130 Silver St)

National Anthem by Taylor Snow (Lake City Town Park)

Presentation of the Flags by the Veterans Honor Guard (Lake City Town Park)

Register for 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament hosted by Lake City Community School (614 Silver St)

12:00 - 3:00 PM

Races begin for all ages!! Races include walking age to 70+.  Types: Foot races, sack races, shoe kick, balloon & egg toss. Food booths, Beer and margarita booth (must be 21 years of age to pur-chase) and artisan booths

BINGO in the Lake City Town Park (if raining it will be in the Lake City Armory)

Street Dance on Siilver St. with the band Vehicle
