Even the most avid outdoor enthusiast needs a day off every now and then. In Lake City, there is no shortage of ways to fill your days off and nights on the town. Lake City's organizations and businesses offer a wide variety of events, including music performances, exercise classes, arts and crafts, festivals, plays, kid friendly activities, races, and historic tours. Stop by and see what all is going on!

July 26. Ducky Derby. Ducks float from Henson Creek (CR 20) to Memorial Park. Tickets for ducks are available at many businesses and the Visitor Center through out the summer. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and last place ducks.

August 2. World Championship Stick Horse Show & Rodeo. Competitions in bucking horse, barrel racing, pole bending, farrier race, calf roping, and showmanship classes. August 9. “Shootouts in Lake City at High Noon on the Boardwalk," a re-enactment Open Range the western shootout ever filmed witness. Actors will fire 240 blanks in their version of the final shootout. Come early and bring a lawn chair! Watch the shootouts each weekend! Then “lunch” and “shop” Lake City! All reenactments free, donations encouraged.

September 20. Uncorked Wine and Music Festival. Enjoy good music, good wine, good food, and good friends under the changing aspen leaves of historic Lake City. Event proceeds benefit the community - Lake City DIRT, a local nonprofit that oversees the Main Street program.
